And let there be more whitespace. Our users have pointed this time and again that our kwips page looked cluttered. The second feedback was the high contrast between the black and white which led to the eyes not adjusting properly. More than aesthetics it was a usability problem.
Also it was difficult to know who was speaking what from just a glance. The user image was below each kwip, and it was small. We have now replaced it with a bigger user image. This makes it easy to see in a glance who is speaking what. One other thing which many may not have noticed, is the speech bubble thing came aligned differently for the user’s page you are looking and for the network users. For one it was aligned left and right for the other. We have used the same concept for the user images, which makes it more noticeable.
It’s in our immediate plans to let the user customise the kwips page. This layout makes it easier for a scalable system with very few variables (few colors).
