If you’ve been using kwippy for a while and have replied to a kwip chances are you must have had a look at the intriguing URL of the particular kwip’s page which carries the kwip along with all its replies.
Does this look familiar http://www.kwippy.com/mkarim/kwips/2008/jun/13/080921/ ? If yes did you notice something different with it ?
We’ve all seen human readable permalinks for blogs but somehow the “human readable” part of the permalink got lost in transit to the microblogging world. So while deciding the permalinks for kwippy’s emotional timeline kaa came up with a time based(upto the seconds) human readable scheme which is intuitive to the core. This way browsing for one’s kwips for a given period of time is exteremly simple
and powerful. Say you wanted to see all your friends kwips for a particular day or say a particular hour of the day then you don’t need to be at the mercy of an API, all you need to do is just adjust the permalink and you are there.
For ex if you want to see Mkarim’s kwips for June 13 2008: http://www.kwippy.com/mkarim/kwips/2008/jun/13/ will get them all
In all the action we had forgotten to share this with you all, thanks Pieter for reminding us the beauty of our permalinks ![]()
Go ahead and give the permalinks a spin.
